How to combine pants in leather or faux leather

Do you have in the closet leather or faux leather pants that you don’t know how to match?

It all depends on the model of the pants: adherents like leggings, cigarette or with pleats.

Today I propose you those with pleats, in the next weeks I will show you my combos with the other models.

What to wear with high-waisted trousers

The thing that struck me about the pants that I show you is the high waist with belt and the softness of the hips, which draws a very feminine shape. Usually I don’t wear pants with pleats because, not being thin, they don’t fit me. When I tried these on, the effect didn’t displease me, it didn’t seem that they widened the hips and, given the affordable price, I bought them.

If the pants are roomy, it is usually advisable to wear something tight as a top, unless you are skinny, in which case you can also choose a soft top.

This summer I bought during summer sales (I know I repeat myself, but I like very much the super discounted purchases) a tight top with long sleeves bell-shaped by Solace London that seemed perfect for these pants.

To give light to the all-black look, I decided to combine the black duster coat with white flowers; if you have a black coat with colorful print it will be perfect.

I opted for the iconic boots by Proenza Schouler with the metal toe and heel , even these purchased on sale, to give character to the outfit.

Mombasa bag: my vintage

The bag I chose to complete the look is the Mombasa by Saint Laurent. Designed in 2001 by Tom Ford, it immediately became a cult piece.

I am very fond of this bag because it was a surprise that my husband made me when he returned from a job in Rome. He had read that all went crazy for this bag …

You will not believe it, but I didn’t know of its existence!

To complete the outfit, which must be adapted to the winter season, the large Pedro scarf by Faliero Sarti, on the advice of my friend Anna.

Pedro is a warm cashmere and silk scarf that can be worn on every outfit, a real passe-partout.

Where to wear this outfit

This look is suitable for any occasion: dinner, aperitif, shopping, museum visit, tea with friends, etc.

With Alice we decided, after the shooting, to stop and have a glass of  good red wine at the Battistero  (tasting and sale of fine wines) in Piazza San Giovanni. Nice and comfortable environment to spend a pleasant evening and, for those not living in Siena, one of the most beautiful period residences of the city.
