The floral dress to wear all year round

My style at 50 Not Only Twenty

Do you remember the post Winter sales: what to buy to wear in spring? Among the suggestions for purchases at discounted prices there is also the floral dress, in fact the floral fprint is not a prerogative of spring/summer, the floral dresses are to wear all year round.

I am convinced that fashion is made by each of us, what makes us feel good is our fashion, but apart from our personal taste, even stylists propose more or less the same things, with minimal variations.

I bought the dress that I present to you last year during the winter sales in Perugia (beautiful Umbrian town with very fashionable shops, with a great choice of products for every budget, I suggest you to visit it) and never having worn it , for me it is as if I had bought it now. As you can see, if you don’t choose models with “eccentric” shapes, certain clothes are timeless.

Why choose the floral dress

Here are the reasons why I chose it: the print, the fabric and the price.

The floral pattern, as mentioned, is a recurring print and therefore the dress will haven’t just a season of life. This print in particular struck me for the colors a bit dusty, if they were brilliant would have been too “noisy” given the amount of colors in the design and not suitable for winter and my taste.

The light fabric and the soft line of the dress give the look a romantic taste  as a walk in the countryside in spring style. Imagine a picture with a woman wearing this dress in a green grass lying on the grass, barefoot and with a book in hand, doesn’t it seem in perfect harmony with the setting? The style of the whole outfit for me must be romantic.

Finally the price, the Belgian brand Essentiel has fashionable products with fairly good prices. If you look at the site don’t be scared by the short dresses, there are many things that can be worn even at our age! Returning to my dress, the price already quite good, it was super discounted and this made me decide to purchase.

How to combine the floral dress

With all the colors of the dress the coat must be mono-color: black, gray, camel. When the temperature will be milder I would see the combination with a long cardigan in dark gray or pink mesh.

As footwear I wore gray suede boots over the knee, in spring it would be perfect the socks boots or Texan boots or the slingback with kitten heel (see shoes and boots of the post Preview of spring/summer 2018 accessories.)

As an accessory the small bag in one of the colors of the dress, also worn cross body. Also for that romantic spirit to which we referred for the outfit I wouldn’t see well either a big bag or a hand bag.

The earrings I chose are with a large grey pearl as the background of the dress and large enough not to be “crushed” by the pattern of the fabric.
